"I am the model, Duchess Jealoquin. I am disabled and spend the majority of my time in a wheelchair. Bound by the ropes life has cast upon me.

This photo depicts how I struggle and succumb to my restraints. Sometimes we have to admit defeat if we are to survive and fight again. Each day is this struggle though, with my ever decaying body, depicted by the decay of the abandoned building around me. My restraints aren't finite however, and with a quick flick of a knife they could fall from me. I would fall too though, for the restraints that hold me down are the only supports holding me up. Truly a conundrum of the utmost kind."  -Duchess Jealoquin

Coyne Leather came to be after a creative hiatus from my fine art. Several circumstances contributed to the hiatus and though I wasn’t painting regularly I still needed to be creating. That coupled with my wife and I wanting new leather accessories, well, it seemed like a natural fit. I bought a cheap set of essential tools and started playing around with repurposed leather from old boots and bags making them into wallets, book covers, cuffs, collars, and the like. Next thing I knew I was ordering double shoulders of vegetable tanned leather and leather dyes. My first real designs were a small tote bag followed by my classic collar. People started placing orders and it quickly went from a hobby to a job. I began designing more accessories for both fashion and kink and taking on custom pieces. In less than a year I went from those first two designs to a selection of about twenty different products in our store. Most of what I make stems from either my wife or myself wanting a certain leather piece and now rather than buying low quality versions I make high end and truly bespoke pieces.

I’m not a polished person to say the least and neither is my work—it definitely adds a unique stamp to each piece. That’s why we make “rugged high-end fashion and kink accessories that are designed and handcrafted to stand out.”
